No matter what your target market is, if you follow these 7 principles, you will be irresistible to your marketplace.

We often hear of building an audience or attracting your target market. How much more powerful do you think there is in being irresistible to your target market?

When you are irresistible, your target market not only finds you, but also keeps coming back over and over again to see what’s new with you. They actively seek you out, wherever you may be. They buy products that you promote, simply because you are the person promoting them.

They know, like, and trust you, but they also love you.

When you implement these 7 simple secrets, you become irresistible.

1. Speak With The Language Of Kings

When communicating anywhere that your target market can see, you should speak with a positive, energetic voice and words. The marketplace is positive and high energy.

Using positive and high-energy words, voice, and communication will attract your target market to you. On the other hand, if you speak with low energy, you will repel your target market from you.

In particular, avoid politics, unless the purpose of your audience IS politics. Especially when building an audience for your business, engaging in politics will automatically repel about half of your target audience. Keep business and politics separate.

2. Show Your Lifestyle

To be clear, this is NOT the same thing as “show the money.” Showing the money may attract in the short term, but it often attracts those who are looking for the wrong thing. In the long term, it actually repels.

When you show bits of your life, you give your target market a glimpse into what makes you interesting as a person.

I’ve said before that you are a celebrity to your target market. They really do what to know everything there is to know about you. Clearly, you don’t want to cross inappropriate boundaries. But to the extent that you can share key pieces of your lifestyle with your target market, you will attract them to you.

This doesn’t necessarily need to be limited to sharing the glamorous or ritzy stuff, either. Sometimes sharing a family pizza night on Facebook or Instagram can be incredibly attractive. This is how you can inspire your target market.

3. Put Out LOTS Of Content

The key is to share relevant content. What is it about your target market that will attract them to you? Make sure that the content you put out is congruent with this.

Each day, create some piece of relevant content. It may be as simple as a meme to post on social media. It may be a blog post. Or, it may be a video or podcast.

But produce something each day that is relevant to your target market, and to the reason that they are interested in you.

4. Be Uplifting And Interactive

Love people first, then they will love you back.

Like and comment on other people’s posts on social media. Cheer people on when they post something that is exciting to them. Make sure that your comments are meaningful comments, not just one or two words.

Be reciprocal. If someone in your target market follows you, follow them. If someone shares some of your content, see if you can find some of their content that is relevant for you to share.

I sometimes call this “engage warp drive”, since, the more you engage, the more you attract your target market.

In all of this, make sure to emphasize the positive, and to be uplifting.

5. Focus Your Communication On Your Target Market

Your interactions with your fans, followers, and friends should focus on them, not you.

Be very aware of their challenges, obstacles, and victories. This is where you show empathy to your target market. Celebrate them before you talk about you.

Identify your target market’s Big Domino. This is what Russell Brunson calls that ONE big thing that, if they could solve this, all the rest of their problems would fall into place. Identify it and focus your communication on this.

6. Be Multi-Channel Based

This refers to the different types of channels where you have a presence. It may include Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, your Blog, your email list, etc.

You should have one primary social media platform that is your emphasis. This is where you do the majority of your interaction with your target market. However, you should have an active presence across several different channels.

Familiarity is attractive. The more places where your target audience can find you, the more familiar they will be with you, and the more trust that will engender. Having an active presence on several social media platforms is a key way to accomplish this.

Each of your channels should lead your target market to at least one other of your channels. And, they all should lead to your email list.

7. Become A Master Inviter

Becoming a master inviter is perhaps the most important secret of all. Keep in mind that inviting is not selling.

Invite people to join your email list. Invite people to watch a webinar. Invite people to take a look at some great content you found on the web.

When you continually invite people to participate in things that they perceive as being low-risk, they will be comfortable with all the communications that they receive from you. So when you DO have a promotion, there is less resistance to coming and taking a look. You are irresistible, since there is no anxiety involved with it.

Master these seven secrets, and you will find yourself irresistible to YOUR marketplace. And, as Diane Hochman says, your target market will fall in love with you and want to buy everything you sell.
