4 Powerful Steps to Positively Greet Your Day
Do These 4 Things FIRST Each Morning
How well a day goes is often determined by how we start the day. Here are 4 steps you can take to start your day off in a powerful way.
Step 1. Decide
The type of experiences you have throughout your day are often based on the simple decision that you make first thing in the morning. Decide what type of day you want to have. And, generally, that’s the type of day you will experience.
Start by setting your intention for the emotion and outcome you want to have for the day. Be absolutely clear about what you want to accomplish, and how you want to feel.
Once that is in place, create your task list or to-do list based on that intention. Doing this will help you program your subconscious mind to begin creating the outcome that you want.
Step 2. Focus
Although you can have many goals in your life, you should always set one of those goals as your major definite purpose. This is the one goal which, once you accomplish it, will do more than anything else to move your life forward. This is also called a major definite goal.
Each morning, write your major definite goal. There’s something powerful about printing by hand your major definite goal. The multi-sensory action of writing carries it deeply into the subconscious mind, where the subconscious’ powerful goal-seeking mechanism goes to work on it all day long, even without conscious thought.
This simple step can do more than anything else to move your life forward in the direction you really want it to go.

Step 3. Be Grateful
Several studies have demonstrated that, if you express gratitude, that simple act raises your happiness by 25%. When you take a quick second to express thanks for what you have — instead of focusing on where you lack — it fills you with joy.
This is because expressing gratitude releases endorphins in the body. And, as you may know, endorphins are the purest form of morphine on the planet. Gratitude floods the body with this natural high.
So, each morning, write down 3 things that you are grateful for. Doing this first thing starts your subconscious mind looking for things to be grateful for throughout the day. And, you get endorphins all day long.

Step 4. Be Quiet
Quiet time is an amazing thing. It gives your mind the opportunity to step back from everything that the physical body is experiencing. It also separates your mind from your habits, and allows an internal habit review to take place.
To begin with, start with 60 seconds of quiet time. That’s a good Level One activity level. You can LEVEL UP from there, once you have this mastered.
Here are some examples of what to do with your quiet time. You can take a walk in nature. You can meditate or pray. You can simply spend time sitting with your eyes closed.
Then, once you have completed these 4 steps, you know you have primed yourself for the best day possible. Trials may appear and storms may rage. But you are solidly prepared to meet them and handle them in the best possible frame of mind.
